Privacy

How privacy works on AskBioMap. Version 2.0.6, effective 20 October 2026.

In short

AskBioMap does not ask for your name, email address or any account details. It sets no cookies and uses no tracking or advertising tools. What you save stays in your browser on your device, and we cannot see it.

What stays on your device

When you save a topic, write a note, add a question for your GP, take a tour, answer a quiz or change a display setting, AskBioMap stores it in your browser's local storage on this device. The same storage holds your acceptance of the terms, so you are not asked again each visit.

Your notes and questions may include health information about you. Because they are stored in this browser, anyone who uses this browser on this device may be able to see them, so keep your device locked and delete what you no longer need.

You can delete everything at any time from My BioMap, or by clearing this site's data in your browser settings. If you choose Download my data, the file is created on your device and is yours to keep or delete.

What you type

Questions you ask Ask BioMap, words you search for and numbers you enter into the tools are processed in your browser. They are not stored and are not sent to us.

What reaches our servers

Like any website, when your browser requests a page, the servers of our hosting provider receive standard technical information such as your IP address, the address of the page requested, the date and time, and your browser type. Our hosting provider may record this in server logs for security and to keep the site running. We may also use those logs to count visits in total, such as how often each page is viewed. We do not use this information to identify you.

AskBioMap keeps copies of its own pages on your device so that pages you have opened can work offline. These copies contain no personal information.

Cookies and tracking

AskBioMap sets no cookies, and it loads no third-party scripts, fonts, analytics or advertising. Links to other websites open those websites, which have their own privacy policies.

If you contact us
