1. Who we are
AskBioMap is provided by HUBUINTEL PTY LTD, ABN 22 702 195 355, of Level 35, Tower One, International Towers, 100 Barangaroo Avenue, Barangaroo NSW 2000 ("we" and "us"). HuBu-Intel is the brand of HUBUINTEL PTY LTD, and AskBioMap is a HuBu-Intel venture. HuBu-Intel's website is www.Hubuintel.com.au.
2. Accepting these terms
By using AskBioMap you accept these terms, together with the Health disclaimer and the Privacy statement. The interactive features ask you to confirm this, and that you are 18 or older, before you start. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use AskBioMap.
3. Not medical or health advice
AskBioMap gives general information about how the human body works. It is not medical, health, nutrition, pharmacy or mental health advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from a doctor, pharmacist or other qualified health professional who knows your circumstances. It does not know your health history and cannot tell you what is happening in your body.
AskBioMap, including the map, Ask BioMap and the tools, is intended for general health education only, and is not intended to diagnose, prevent, monitor, predict, treat or alleviate any disease, injury or condition. Using it does not create a doctor and patient relationship, or any other professional relationship, between you and us. Always seek advice from a qualified health professional about your own health, and never ignore that advice, or delay seeking it, because of something on AskBioMap. In an emergency, call 000.
4. Your own decisions
You decide how you use the information on AskBioMap, and you remain responsible for decisions about your own health and care. Talk to a qualified health professional before you change your diet, exercise, medicines, supplements or treatment. The tools give general estimates from published methods; their results are not a health assessment and are not meant to be relied on as one.
5. Using AskBioMap
AskBioMap is free to use for now, for personal use, with no account. Organisations that sign up as partners may enjoy free use for a longer period, on terms agreed with them in writing. To sign up your organisation, please contact HuBu-Intel through the For organisations page.
When you use AskBioMap, please:
- use it lawfully, and only for personal, non-commercial purposes;
- not interfere with the site, its security or other people's use of it;
- not copy the site or its content in bulk, including by automated means, except as search engines ordinarily do.
6. Using the content
You may read, print and share links to AskBioMap pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. Copying substantial parts of the content, republishing it, or using it in a product, a service or paid training needs our written permission first. Organisations can ask through the For organisations page.
7. Intellectual property
The content, design, map, software and images of AskBioMap, and the AskBioMap and HuBu-Intel names and logos, belong to HUBUINTEL PTY LTD or are used with permission. Third-party sources remain the property of their owners. The fonts are used under their own open licences, listed in Notices and licences.
8. Accuracy and availability
We take care to check the content against its sources, but health knowledge changes and AskBioMap may contain mistakes or omissions. Each topic, connection, lab test, medicine and food entry lists its sources so you can check them.
AskBioMap is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that its content is complete, accurate, current or suitable for your purposes, or that AskBioMap will always be available, secure or free from errors. We may update, suspend or withdraw any part of AskBioMap at any time.
9. Other websites
AskBioMap links to other websites, such as government health services, so that you can read the original sources. A link is not an endorsement, and we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of other websites.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law, or any other law, that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified, including the consumer guarantees.
Subject to that, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss, damage, cost or injury, of any kind and however it arises, including through negligence, that comes from or in connection with your use of AskBioMap; your reliance on its content, its tools or Ask BioMap's answers; anything you do, or do not do, because of it; or the websites it links to.
Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, it is limited to the fees you paid us for AskBioMap in the 12 months before the claim. AskBioMap is free to use, so that amount is nil.
Nothing in this section limits our liability for fraud, or any liability that the law does not allow us to exclude or limit.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version and date at the top of this page show which version applies, and a change applies only from the date it is published. When these terms change, the interactive features ask you to accept the new version before you continue. You can stop using AskBioMap at any time, and delete everything it has saved from My BioMap.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
